Strategies For Preventing Acne
Most people with acne try to treat their blotchy skin with creams, face washes, soaps, lotions and treatments. However, the best way to cure acne is by changing your diet and getting rid of acne-producing things such as fried food. A healthy diet, rich in organic unprocessed foods such as vegetables, fruits, grains and beans is the first recommendation for curing acne.
Foods containing trans-fatty acids, milk, milk products, margarine, shortening and synthetically hydrogenated vegetable oils, as well as fatty foods, should be avoided. It appears that the high occurrence of acne in the United States is made worse by the average American diet. Americans typically eat fried food in large quantities, usually cooked in the most harmful of fats and oils.
However, not all fats are bad for you, but the fats and oils that the typical American eats make them more susceptible to get acne and other skin problems. Products that can irritate are ice cream, cheese, bacon, chocolate and milk. Furthermore, acne can’t really be treated using external skin creams and expensive soaps because the basic cause of the condition lies below the skin.
Pimples, spots or zits and blemishes are caused by bacteria and other irritants embedded below the skin’s oil glands and hair follicles, which are generally produced by insufficient hygiene, scratching or squeezing and poor diet.
This unhealthy diet may be caused by too high a proportion of items such as processed, fatty, fried and sugary foods in your diet. A diet that is good for your skin emphasizes raw or lightly cooked vegetables, especially green, leafy vegetables that contain valuable trace minerals and fibre. Fresh green vegetables are essential, however you should also include more lean protein sources, such as fish and chicken and complex carbohydrates, such as rice, whole-grain bread and potatoes in your diet.
These fibre-rich foods will help ensure a healthy gastrointestinal tract, which is especially vital to the management of acne. You should eat three healthy meals daily in order to provide you with sufficient vital nutrients and decrease your desire for sugary or/and greasy, fried food.
You should consume much more food that is rich in vitamin A, like apricots, watermelons, and broccoli, along with lean beef, nuts, lentils and whole grains, because they are rich in zinc, which is also be useful in preventing acne breakouts. It’s also important to drink plenty of water to help clean the poisons out that encourage acne.

What Is Gemstone Energy Medicine?
Gemstone energy medicine is an art and a science. It involves healing the body, emotions, mind, and spirit using either therapeutic gemstones or oral remedies imparted with gemstone energies. It is a discipline that involves preventing, treating, and diagnosing health conditions by applying gemstones or gemstone remedies in body’s energy field. This energy field includes the aura that surrounds the body, plus the energetic counterparts of physically manifested tissue.
Gemstone energy medicine is based on the principle “as above, so below.” The energy field of the body exists “above” at a higher vibration than physical tissue. Another underlying premise is that the energetic condition of tissue and cells precedes its physical manifestation. Health concerns, diseases, weaknesses, pain, even injuries are caused first by disturbances in the energetic fabric. When you correct these disturbances, then health and harmony follows in the physical tissue.
Gemstone energy medicine also works at a deeper level to find and address the emotional, karmic, or mental influences that caused the energetic disharmony in the first place. Thus gemstone energy medicine is ideal not only for treatment of manifested health issues, but also for preventive therapy. If you use the gemstones or gemstone remedies that you are attracted to, disharmony at higher levels of your being will be corrected before it manifests physically.
The body has many levels of intelligence and intelligence centers, and gemstone therapists learn to recognize and respect each of them. These levels of intelligence include the molecular, cellular, organ, organ system, and whole body, as well as the emotional, karmic, mental, and spiritual. Intelligence centers include the heart, head, stomach, and more specifically, each of the chakra centers.
Using gemstone therapy to clear and open these intelligence centers helps a person make better choices in all aspects of life, such as what foods to eat, what to do when challenged by relationship problems, how to succeed financially, what therapies will best treat a certain health condition, and even which gemstones to use for self-therapy.
Advanced gemstone therapy students learn how to diagnose the energetic causes of health conditions. When you apply therapeutic gemstones in the aura, the energies of the patient’s body moves them in certain archetypical ways. Because each of these movements describe what is going on a person’s energetic fabric, a gemstone therapist can determine the types of energetic anomalies and imbalances that underlie a physical health condition.
A gemstone therapist can also study the gemstones that a patient’s energy field is calling for and how strong this attraction is, as well as the purpose of these gemstones and their anatomical targets. Doing so paints a picture of the energetic nature of a disharmony and suggests how to neutralize it.
Because of its energetic focus, gemstone energy medicine is a complementary modality. You can use it in conjunction with herbs, allopathic drugs, flower essences, and other natural remedies. It can also give you fundamental energetic support to enhance the benefits you can get from massage, cranial-sacral therapy, psychotherapy, and other types of treatments.

Why Do I Get Migraine Headaches?
Headaches in any kind are always painful for the sufferer. However, some headaches, such as migraines, for instance, can cause even more problems than just a headache. These problems could be nausea, light sensitivity and a banging pain in the head. Sometimes the headache acts on one side of the head, and other times you can feel the pain on both sides of the head at the same time.
The real causes of migraine headaches has not yet been found, although there are some theories why we experience migraine headaches. The most common theory is that a change in the blood flow within the brain is one of the triggers that causes migraine headaches. Another theory about migraine headache is that it could possibly be caused by pain sensing chemicals called neuropeptides.
Many medical professionals speculate that neuropeptides relax the smooth muscle that surrounds the cranial blood vessels. This relaxation causes the blood vessels to dilate. This blood vessel relaxation increases the flow of blood and other cranial fluid to the brain. This increase in fluids is thought to be the cause of migraine headaches.
These cranial fluids cause inflammation, pain, sensitivity, tissue and blood vessel inflammation during the time of the migraine headaches. Some people think that the aura that is sometimes seen during a migraine headache is caused by the constriction of the blood vessels that became dilated during the starting period of the migraine headache.
Another theory as to the reason for migraine headaches has been linked to the genetics of inheritance. These theories say that a child of migraine sufferers will have a 50% chance of getting migraine headaches too.
The chances of inheriting migraine headaches become even greater if both parents are known to suffer from this painful type of headache. Should both parents be known to have frequent migraine headaches the chances of the child inheriting migraine headache symptoms is about 70%.
However, even though many professionals think that genetics plays a role in migraine headaches, the genes that are considered to be the causes of migraine headaches have not been identified or even isolated. When we begin to experience migraine headaches the only warning signs that we may expect to receive are a throbbing pain in the temple area and slight nausea.
As the symptoms of the migraine progresses, the pain becomes much more severe. Unfortunately, since the causes of migraine headaches have not been discovered and we don’t know what triggers these attacks, there are no medications to cure this type of headaches yet.

Preventing Mosquito Bites And Diseases
So, you’ve got some time off work, college or school and you want to get in the open air and enjoy it. Maybe even go on vacation. What a good idea! But what happens when you get where you are going? The mosquitoes come out to get you.
If it were not so routine, it would sound like Freddy Kruger and Nightmare on Elm Street. The female mosquitoes need blood to produce eggs and they seek it out as voraciously as any vampire in a horror movie, while the males go sucking nectar from plants like fairies.
Well, that is the nightmare setting, but it is not that far from the truth either. For many peoples in the world it is also a genuine life and death problem. Millions of people die every year from malaria and tons more from dengue too. Yet both of these diseases are curable as are most of the other mosquito-borne diseases like Yellow Fever, Japanese Jungle Encephalopathy and Nile fever.
The first thing to understand is that usually these diseases can be inoculated against, particularly if you are going on vacation. The next thing to keep in mind – it might help – is that not all mosquitoes are the same. For example, in Thailand, the dengue-bearing mosquito (often called the ‘Egyptian’) comes out during the day time and so bites then too. Between about an hour before dawn and an hour after dusk, whereas the malaria-carrying mosquito, the Anopheles, is a night time huntress.
I am not suggesting that you can slacken your vigilance during the day, although many people take for granted that they can. Nobody wants dengue fever either.
So, what can you do? Before you go anywhere, read up on the area or check with medical experts. That part is not hard, especially, if you know how to explore the Internet. Then prepare yourself with inoculations if the threat is serious enough in your judgment or a medical expert’s judgment. In my estimation, that is the minimum that a conscientious person should be expected to do to protect him or herself, the family and the community at large.
Then there are a few other things you can do. For instance, wear voluminous clothes, but long sleeves and long trousers. If you are thin on top by choice or not, wear a hat or cap. Dress in socks or stockings in the evening to safeguard your toes. Get a good-quality mosquito repellent and put it on your bare skin, as often as necessary by the manufacturer, which is typically every four or five hours.
You could rationally stop there, but I like to go a bit further, if the situation calls for it. If I am outside in the garden at home or in a hotel, I like to have one of those tennis racquet style electric bug zappers with me. They are great for zapping the odd mosquito that buzzes you. They are good for clearing the bedroom before retiring too and lastly, if I’m renting, hiking, camping or caravaning, I may find space for a rechargeable lantern-style bug zapper too.
If the little so-and-sos are going to give me a fever, they are going to have to try very hard to do it.

Creams And Other Skin Care Products That Keep Your Body Fresh
It is possible to find the right dry skincare product to give you beautiful skin but first you need to know the root cause of dry skin.
There are already countless numbers of dry skincare products out there. It would do you good if you can determine the root cause of your dry skin issues because this will help to simplify your search and make it easy for you to identify the most suitable product for your type of skin.
Water softeners are not really the typical skincare products but they are important in the cases where the dry skin is perceived to be the result of excessive exposure to hard water. The water softeners are not for application on the skin but are for treating your water supply issues.
You see, one of the reasons why your skin is so dry is because of lack of moisture. Moisturizers enable your skin to be well nourished, increasing moisture content in your skin. Whenever the skin has sufficient moisture, it will glow and look healthier.
You can succeed in selecting the best moisturizer that is most suitable for your type of skin from the thousands that flood the market today. The moisturizing lotions should be used regularly and twice a day. The moisturizing soaps are also good for beginning your beauty routine and can be used in the morning and at night.
A closer observation at the facial washers and cleansers will show that all the products are well marked with descriptions. This is to help you identify which of the products are meant specifically for oily and the ones for dry skin.
It is usually advised that one should go for the skincare products that are meant for dry skin because they are made to deal with the primary cause of the problem effectively.
Usually the skincare products that have milk as one of the ingredients are supposed to deal with dry skin. Milk helps to make your skin smooth and give it a healthy glow. Most milk baths can be bought from leading beauty shops but one can also choose to make it at home.
Skin smoothing creams have lived up to their name; they do a perfect job of softening the skin. Since dry skin is rough, the smoothing creams use mild exfoliants and rich moisturizers to make it smooth.

Principles That Drive The Use Of Inversion Tables
Using the inversion tables is a natural method of giving relief to your body. It uses the principle of gravity which says that what goes up must come down. It means that when you place your feet where the head is normally; you should expect a change.
The reasoning is that the human body when inverted in the upside down position; is able to compress the forces of gravity which are at play in the human system under normal circumstances.
Normally, the effects of the forces of gravity on the human body can be noticed with age. The inversion table principle is meant to counter the effects of the forces of gravity to a certain level.
The way to go is to begin to use the inversion table slowly and systematically. Continue to use certain body movements while you are in the inverted position. This will give you relief from back pain and enhance relaxation of the muscles. The blood circulation can improve greatly as well as the toning of muscles.
The inversion tables are of manual and motorized types; which means one is operated manually and the other is fixed with a motor. The body movements may vary according to individual needs while a person is still in the inverted position and what is in the table.
There is room to change the degree of inversion depending on the physical features of each individual as per the inversion table which can change from time to time.
It is noteworthy to say that what works for one person might not work for the other because of the obvious differences in body weight for example. You are advised to select only the one that can support your own weight. It is because the inversion table that cannot support your weight can be harmful to the body.
The inversion tables are explained very well in the manuals and videos that come with the product. There is useful information on the internet that can help one understand how the inversion table works.

Common Cold Resistance Ideas
Everyone hates to catch a cold, and winter is here already and you may be finding it hard to keep the germs away. You are at your most vulnerable during winter so I have compiled a few bits of advice to get you fit for fighting off the bug.
While I can make no assurances, I can tell you that following a few of these small tips might end up helping you out when it comes down to it.
You must get as much sleep as you can, not too much of course but the normal eight hours is sufficient. We all know that in the present day and age it can be hard just getting that many. However, without it, your immune system will be left weakened and as a result, your body will be defenceless to any lurking bugs.
So to lessen the chances of catching a cold, get a good night’s sleep and keep your immune system up to strength.
If you have travelled by bus or train or been to a place where there were a lot of people then it’s a good idea to wash your hands regularly. Germs spread around via the most unlikely of surfaces and it’s best to keep them at bay with a good wash.
If you don’t have access to soap, try out some antibacterial hand sanitizer. You can easily carry this around in your pocket, applying it regularly on the go as needed.
Lastly, eat plenty of fruits during these winter months. Most of them are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins that naturally fight off the presence of cold bugs. They’ll also give you a nice boost of energy that makes it easier to get through the day.
When bugs are lurking around and it’s prime time for colds and flu, try out the tips listed above and stay healthy throughout the winter.
